Getting started
From download to your first host in about a minute.
Installation
Grab the signed .dmg from the Download page, open it, and drag Ark8 into Applications. First launch will pass macOS Gatekeeper without warnings — the app is notarized.
First launch
Ark8 opens to a Welcome screen with two options — Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft. Both use Apple’s system authentication browser; the app never sees your provider password.
First sign in
Supabase Auth exchanges the OAuth code for a session. First sign-in auto-creates your Ark8 profile and you land straight in your personal workspace. Organization membership is not required — every account starts as an individual account and can join or create organizations later.
Your first host
Add an SSH host from the sidebar, or open Kubernetes if you have a kubeconfig. Ark8 uses your existing ~/.ssh and ~/.kube material — no passwords or keys are uploaded.
